A quick glance at the NLBA1 professional laptop battery analyzer
I know many of our viewers and readers are mostly casual laptop user or someone who just loves technology. Occasionally we want to upgrade, update our laptops, do some maintenance work on them just like we do with our cars for example.
And let’s be honest, for these types of activities, we do need a proper tool, a good screwdriver, and time to time a decent analyzer/measuring device. The problem with laptop batteries that with our operating system we can only read out certain information about its health, charge rate/discharge rate hell even the cell types it uses. And these are just a few I mention here. With the NLBA1, we can connect directly to our laptop battery (and drone! batteries as well) and we are able to read, measure, analyze many other details about our battery status, and if possible fix some issues with it.

Professional equipment for testing laptop batteries
Since I do nowadays many disassembly videos about laptop upgrades, a good battery analyzer tool might seem a solid choice, to expand my tool cabinet. This might look a bit overkill for a casual user (and let’s be honest this device is probably meant for computer repair shops), but I think this battery analyzer can serve us well thru many years as a good and reliable device.

What is in the box?
But enough of the intro and let’s dive into, what we get in the package, and what is this device can exactly do, where can I use it. I am not going to go into details (for now), a deep video review will come shortly so stay tuned.
The whole package comes in a well-protected cart box, containing the hardware box (NLBA1) itself, which allows us to communicate between our workbench computer and our laptop battery. We get a typical USB Type-A – Type-B cable, a laptop power supply for the NLBA1 (we can directly charge/discharge our laptop battery, so deep sleep batteries can be revived. I will try to test this function since I have several batteries with this symptoms), a short manual with our serial number to register the hardware, and several connector types for our batteries.
The core of everything, the SOFTWARE
The whole package will worth not much, without great software, let’s have a quick check of all the settings, and features we gain with this package. The bundled software needs an internet connection, in order to work. With this, you gain whole access to the latest pinout layout and software validation.

As I said, I am not going to do a deep review (yet), but stay tuned here and on our YouTube channel.
